moodhoops.com has all kinds of great hoops. The one in the photos are “Future Hoops”. Happy hooping :)

Anonymous asked: How do I take a picture with an LED hoop and make it look like these? I have a project due Friday and want a cool picture. thanks, Natalie

I’m so sorry, I just saw this. You definitely should use a tripod. Although most of these were shot without a tripod, the quality suffers a bit because I didn’t use one. I set my camera to manual and just play with the shutter speed settings until something good comes out. I found that in total darkness, a focal length of 18-30 at F3-4 on my Nikon kit lens is a good starting point. I had my ISO cranked to around 800. I used an external flash unit to light up the hoopers faces. I hope this helps :)

A song that came to me this morning. Enjoy :)

————————

I took to the forest, took to the pines
Who cushion my footsteps and focus my eyes
On the spirit who walks the land of my dreams
I call her my lady, my lady in green

With White Willow tempers and Evergreen smiles
She guides me through pitfalls, mountains and miles
She shelters my body from wind and from cold
She’ll never be bought, no she’ll never be sold

‘Cause she’s you, she’s me, she’s everything
Encompassing all from the known to unseen
Nothing can hold her, no law, word, or king
Yet I call her my lady, my lady in green

If everyone’s watching, everyone sees
Her fragments of beauty, divine life, death, and disease
I’m well aware of my lyrical hypocrisy
So too is my lady, my lady in green

Water and Mountains.

lucid--daze asked: All of your photos are really beautiful. And I see you've been to Yelapa! It's an incredible place, one of my favorite spots I've ever stayed.

Thank you for your kind words. I spent the month of January in Yelapa and Sayulita. It is indeed a vortex of amazingness, and is a place I will most definitely return to someday. So great to meet someone who’s been to Yelapa!
